I studied History, Politics and English Literature, but knew plants and design were where my heart was. I spent three years as a hands-on professional gardener in the Cotswolds, at the United States National Arboretum and at The American Horticultural Society in Washington DC, learning about real, living, growing plants and how gardens change over time.

Back in the UK I re-trained as a landscape architect and worked for 15 years in landscape design and urban regeneration, before studying for an Design MA and then a Diploma in Garden Design at The Cotswold Gardening School, settling in Gloucestershire where I now live.

I am a gardener, allotmenter and designer, making beautiful places for myself and others - even on my tiny deck where there is no soil, but beautiful pots, furniture and plants.
